WHITE INK PUBLISHING — REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. About This Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to digital publications purchased through whiteinkpublishing.com.
White Ink Publishing is a digital publishing brand and business operated by Arun Suresh Tiwari (“White Ink Publishing”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Website: whiteinkpublishing.com
Email: contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
Grievance Officer: Arun Suresh Tiwari
This Policy should be read together with our:
Terms and Conditions;
Privacy Policy;
Digital Delivery Policy;
product-specific information displayed before purchase.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit, waive or exclude any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited, waived or excluded.
2. Nature of Our Products
White Ink Publishing primarily sells digital publications, including ebooks, PDFs and other downloadable digital content.
Digital products differ from physical goods because, once successfully delivered, accessed or downloaded, they ordinarily cannot be physically returned.
Refund eligibility is therefore assessed according to:
payment status;
delivery status;
whether the publication has been accessed or downloaded;
the nature of the problem;
whether the issue can reasonably be corrected;
applicable law.
3. Change-of-Mind Purchases
Please review the publication description carefully before purchasing, including:
title;
language;
format;
edition;
contents or features described;
price;
compatibility information, where applicable.
Once a digital publication has been successfully delivered, accessed or downloaded, a refund will generally not be available solely because the customer:
changes their mind;
no longer wants the publication;
decides they would prefer another publication;
expected features or material that were not stated in the product description;
accidentally purchased the product where no technical, transactional or other eligible issue exists.
This rule does not affect any refund, replacement, redelivery or other remedy required under applicable law.
4. Situations That May Qualify for a Refund or Other Remedy
White Ink Publishing will review genuine claims involving circumstances such as the following.
A. Duplicate Payment
Where a customer has unintentionally been charged more than once for the same intended purchase.
B. Successful Payment but Non-Delivery
Where payment has been successfully confirmed but the purchased publication is not delivered or made accessible within the applicable delivery timeframe because of an issue attributable to White Ink Publishing or its delivery system.
C. Wrong Product Delivered
Where the digital publication supplied is different from the publication actually purchased.
D. Materially Corrupted or Unusable File
Where the supplied file is materially corrupted, cannot reasonably be opened or used as intended, and the problem cannot be corrected through redelivery, replacement or another reasonable technical solution.
E. Materially Not as Described
Where the publication supplied materially differs from the principal description or characteristics shown to the customer before purchase.
F. Cancellation by White Ink Publishing
Where successful payment has been received but White Ink Publishing subsequently determines that the order cannot be fulfilled.
G. Other Legally Required Circumstances
Where applicable law requires a refund, replacement, redelivery or another consumer remedy.
5. Technical Problems Will Normally Be Corrected First
A temporary technical issue does not necessarily require cancellation of an otherwise valid purchase.
Where appropriate, we may first attempt to resolve the matter by:
resending download information;
issuing a replacement download link;
providing a corrected copy of the same publication;
restoring legitimate access;
assisting with a genuine delivery problem;
correcting another reasonably remediable technical issue.
If the purchased publication remains materially unavailable or unusable after reasonable attempts to correct the problem, we will consider the appropriate refund or other remedy.
6. No Guaranteed Cancellation Grace Period
Digital delivery may occur automatically shortly after successful payment confirmation.
For this reason, White Ink Publishing does not guarantee a cancellation grace period after payment.
If you contact us before digital fulfilment has been completed and cancellation remains technically possible, we may be able to cancel the order.
Once the digital publication has been successfully:
delivered;
accessed; or
downloaded,
the change-of-mind provisions of this Policy will ordinarily apply.
Nothing in this section affects any remedy required by applicable law.
7. Accidental Purchases
If you believe you purchased the wrong publication accidentally, contact us as soon as possible at:
contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
Because digital delivery may be automated, contacting us after payment does not guarantee that fulfilment can still be stopped.
If fulfilment has not yet occurred and cancellation remains technically possible, we may cancel the transaction.
If the publication has already been successfully delivered, accessed or downloaded, the normal digital-product refund rules in this Policy will apply.
8. Incorrect Email Address Entered by the Customer
Customers are responsible for entering a correct and accessible email address during checkout.
If you accidentally entered an incorrect email address, contact:
contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
Where reasonably possible and after appropriate verification of the order, we may:
correct relevant delivery information;
resend delivery information;
reissue legitimate download access.
Entering an incorrect email address does not automatically cancel an otherwise valid purchase where the publication can reasonably be redelivered.
We may ask for reasonable non-sensitive information to verify the genuine purchaser before reissuing access.
9. Digital Delivery
After successful payment confirmation, digital delivery may occur through:
a secure download link;
an order-confirmation page;
an email containing access or download information;
another electronic-delivery method disclosed before or after purchase.
The applicable expected delivery timeframe and access arrangements are described in our separate Digital Delivery Policy.
If the publication is not received within the stated timeframe, please contact:
contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
We will investigate the order and provide appropriate assistance.
10. Device and Software Compatibility
Customers are responsible for having a reasonably compatible device and appropriate software for the file format described on the product page.
A refund will generally not be available solely because:
the customer's device is damaged;
the customer's device lacks sufficient storage;
the customer's internet connection fails;
unsupported third-party software is being used;
the customer loses access to their own email account;
the customer changes devices after purchase,
where the supplied publication itself is functional and accurately described.
If White Ink Publishing materially misrepresented the file format or compatibility requirements, we will review the matter fairly.
11. Cancellation by White Ink Publishing
White Ink Publishing may cancel or decline an order where reasonably necessary because of circumstances including:
failed payment;
unconfirmed payment;
duplicate transaction;
suspected fraud;
obvious pricing or technical error;
inability to supply the publication;
legal or regulatory restriction;
security concerns.
If White Ink Publishing cancels an order after successful payment but before valid fulfilment, an appropriate refund of the amount actually received for the affected order will be initiated.
12. How to Request a Refund or Resolution
Refund, cancellation or technical-resolution requests should be sent to:
contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
Please provide:
your name;
email address used for purchase;
order number, if available;
payment or transaction reference, if available;
title of the publication;
brief description of the problem;
reasonable supporting information, where relevant.
For a technical or corrupted-file complaint, a screenshot of the error may help us investigate the problem.
Never send:
OTPs;
UPI PINs;
card PINs;
CVVs;
banking passwords;
internet-banking passwords;
other confidential authentication credentials.
White Ink Publishing will not require such credentials to process an ordinary refund or support request.
13. Review of Refund Requests
Refund requests are assessed using relevant information including:
order records;
payment status;
delivery status;
nature of the complaint;
whether the publication has been accessed or downloaded;
whether the issue can reasonably be corrected;
supporting information supplied;
applicable legal requirements.
Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee approval.
Equally, White Ink Publishing will not reject a genuine statutory claim merely because the purchased product is digital.
14. Refund Amount
Where a full refund is approved, the refund will ordinarily be limited to the amount actually paid for the affected transaction.
Where only part of a transaction or bundle is affected and a partial refund is technically, commercially and legally appropriate, a proportionate refund may be considered.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, White Ink Publishing does not ordinarily refund unrelated expenses such as:
internet charges;
mobile-data costs;
device expenses;
software expenses;
banking charges imposed independently by third parties;
other consequential personal expenses.
15. How Approved Refunds Are Processed
Where an eligible refund is approved for an online transaction, the refund will normally be initiated through the payment system used for the original purchase.
Where Razorpay processed the payment, the refund will ordinarily be initiated through the applicable Razorpay merchant process.
Refunds are generally returned to the original payment source, subject to the payment provider's and banking system's processing rules.
White Ink Publishing will not ordinarily ask a customer to provide unrelated bank-account credentials in order to process a normal payment-gateway refund.
16. Refund Processing Time
Once an approved refund has been initiated, please allow approximately 5–10 working days for the amount to reflect in the original payment account.
Actual processing time may vary depending on factors including:
payment method;
payment provider;
issuing bank;
acquiring bank;
UPI or card network processing;
settlement cycle;
banking holidays;
other processing circumstances outside White Ink Publishing's direct control.
The 5–10 working-day period is an estimated processing window, not a guarantee of an exact credit date.
If an approved refund has not appeared after the applicable processing period, contact:
contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
Please provide the relevant order, transaction or refund reference so that we can investigate.
17. Promotional Prices and Discounts
Where a refund is approved for a publication purchased using:
a launch price;
discount;
promotional price;
coupon;
special offer,
the refundable amount will ordinarily be based on the amount actually paid by the customer, not the publication's regular, earlier or later price.
A price increase or decrease after purchase does not by itself create a right to a refund or price adjustment.
18. Bundle Purchases
Where two or more publications are sold together as a bundle, refund eligibility may depend on factors including:
whether the entire bundle was affected;
whether individual publications were already delivered or accessed;
whether only one component was defective;
the bundle's pricing structure;
whether the issue can reasonably be corrected.
Any specific bundle conditions may be disclosed separately.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.
19. Updated or Corrected Editions
Minor:
typographical corrections;
formatting improvements;
editorial corrections;
layout updates;
technical adjustments
do not automatically make an otherwise functional publication refundable.
Where the purchased publication contains a material technical problem or significant error that can reasonably be corrected, White Ink Publishing may provide a corrected copy of the same edition.
Providing a corrected copy does not automatically entitle the customer to every future:
revised edition;
expanded edition;
new edition;
separately priced edition.
20. Religious, Educational and Interpretive Differences
A refund is not ordinarily available solely because a reader disagrees with:
a devotional interpretation;
an educational explanation;
an editorial approach;
a traditional reference;
a scholarly interpretation;
a legitimate difference in religious or cultural tradition,
where the publication supplied materially corresponds with the product description.
This does not prevent a customer from raising a legitimate complaint concerning:
materially misleading information;
the wrong product;
a material defect;
content substantially different from the advertised description;
another legally recognised issue.
21. Fraudulent or Abusive Refund Requests
White Ink Publishing may investigate circumstances reasonably suggesting:
fraudulent transactions;
deliberate misuse of digital products;
unauthorised redistribution followed by a refund demand;
knowingly false claims of non-delivery;
repeated bad-faith refund requests;
fraudulent payment disputes;
knowingly false chargeback claims.
Relevant transaction, delivery and support records may be retained and used where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
This provision will not be used to obstruct genuine consumer complaints.
22. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe:
you were incorrectly charged;
you were charged more than once;
your purchase was not delivered;
a transaction was unauthorised,
please contact:
contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate the matter.
Nothing in this Policy prevents a customer from exercising lawful rights through:
their bank;
Razorpay or another payment provider;
a Consumer Commission;
a competent authority;
another legally available forum or mechanism.
23. Consumer Grievance Redressal
For refund, cancellation, payment or delivery grievances:
Grievance Officer: Arun Suresh Tiwari
White Ink Publishing
Email: contact@whiteinkpublishing.com
Please provide sufficient non-sensitive information for us to identify and investigate the complaint.
We aim to:
acknowledge applicable consumer grievances within 48 hours of receipt; and
redress them within one month from the date of receipt, or within any different period required under applicable law.
Nothing in this Policy restricts any statutory grievance or consumer remedy available under applicable law.
24. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to waive, restrict or exclude any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived, restricted or excluded.
Where applicable law provides a consumer with a mandatory remedy that differs from or is more favourable than a provision of this Policy, the applicable mandatory legal requirement will prevail.
25. Changes to This Policy
White Ink Publishing may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy where reasonably necessary because of changes in:
applicable law;
payment systems;
ecommerce systems;
digital-delivery methods;
publications;
service providers;
business operations.
The latest version will display an updated Last updated date.
Changes will ordinarily apply prospectively.
White Ink Publishing will not use a later policy update merely to retrospectively remove mandatory rights connected with an already completed transaction.
26. Relationship With Other Website Policies
This Policy should be read together with:
Terms and Conditions
Privacy Policy
Digital Delivery Policy
product-specific terms disclosed before purchase.
If there is a conflict between a website policy and a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.
